I am proud to be a Froothie Ambassador and I absolutely love their blenders and juicers. These are top quality, powerful machines that get a lot of use in my house! As a vegetarian since I was 12, I adore vegetables and love to get them into my diet – whether in smoothies, soups, juices, salads, stews or any other meals. This super-powerful commercial-quality juicer makes it even easier to eat loads of fresh veggies. Plus, it helps with food waste. If any veggies or fruits are starting to look a little past their best, I just juice them up! I also regularly pick up the sadder-looking older fruits and veggies at my local greengrocer with a mind to making juices and smoothies. It saves them from being binned, and they’re usually the produce with the most flavour!
So, Happy National Vegetarian Week! Let’s celebrate vegetarianism, vegetables and eating healthily. It’s easy to take part in National Vegetarian Week – just eat veggie all week long. Perhaps try my Moroccan Spiced Carrot and Chickpea Fritters, Shakshuka or Spiralised Courgette Fettucine with Pea and Mint Sauce!
Whether you’ve been a veggie all of your life, you’ve recently become a vegetarian or you’re thinking about eating less meat, let’s all celebrate together with beautiful meals of vibrant plants. Of grains, fruits and leaves. For we all know that far from being restrictive, a vegetarian diet is filled with colour, vitamins and beautiful natural flavours.
If you’re looking for inspiration, my very favourite vegetarian cookbook is River Cottage Veg. We use this so often and everything has been delicious. This year there has been a load of other fantastic healthy veggie cookbooks, like Anna Jones’ A Modern Way to Eat and Deliciously Ella, and I’d love to get my hands on My New Roots. I’ve had some amazing meals at Mildred’s in London. Notably the most divine beet hoummous and gloriously cripsy flatbreads with my sister, shortly before she moved away. I need to get the new Mildreds Vegetarian Cookbook
The Optimum 600 whole fruit slow juicer means no more chopping, no more clogging, just faster, better more nutritious fresh juice. Compared to a centrifugal juicer, the Optimum 600 slow juicer delivers more juice and more nutrients with the added bonus of being much quieter, too. A few features you’re going to love:
– Large auger which perfectly crushes your fruits and vegetables for maximum output and nutrient retention
– You can also make ice cream, nut butters, nut milks, smoothies, baby food and more
– Large chute and internal knife will eliminate chopping and clogging, making cleaning a breeze.
– Juice whole apples, pears and more!

The Optimum 600 retails for £329 but will be on sale for £249 during National Vegetarian Week. Visit Froothie’s website for details and to get your discount!
