Here are my February product reviews. These items have been sent to me to try and I’m happy to share what I think of them with you.
Lyra Chocolates (shop now closed) sent me a selection of these gorgeous chocolates. They’re a lovely quality chocolate, and won the Great Taste Award in 2014. These vegan chocolates are scattered with strawberries, raspberries, violet and rose, giving them an intriguing floral and fruity flavour in the crispy bits on top. Lyra’s handmade chocolates are made with the best quality of cocoa and they sweeten them with cane or coconut blossom sugar.

Aldi Wines sent me this lovely selection for Valentine’s Day. I love prosecco and this Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore didn’t disappoint. It’s extra dry and easy to drink.
The Belletti Dell’Italia Rose Spumante is also extra dry, so very pleasant as I don’t like rose to be too sweet. It was perfect for Valentines. It’s fresh and crisp.
The Argentinian Rose Malbec is the Bronze winner of the International Wine Challenge, and rightly so. I never choose rose, but this has changed my mind. It’s light, fruity and I’ll definitely be getting more this summer to drink in the garden with friends.
Aldi also sent this selection for us to try. The Veuve Monsigny Brut No III is a lovely Champagne. It’s an aged blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier that is very dry and is nice and crisp.
The Muscadet Sevre et Maine 2013 is both lemony and floral, with a lovely dry crispness. Aldi has continued to really impress me with their wine cellar, sending quality bottles at excellent prices. I’d seek out any of these wines again, so I’m sure a random choice in their wine aisle would keep me equally happy.
I love these little Graze boxes. They’re perfect healthier snacks and my kids adore them. Much better for car trips than other quick snacks, these portable boxes are great on the go. My kids really like the flapjacks and my husband and I enjoyed the spicy nuts. They do a great range of flavours and I’ve seen these boxes in most supermarkets.
Coconut Collaborative sent me their famous diary-free gluten-free coconut based yogurts, as well as their brand new little chocolate pots.
The yogurts are free of dairy, gluten and soya, and only have fruit sugars. They also have live cultures so are good for your gut. These mango and passion fruit ones are tangy, sweet and creamy. The little chocolate pots are so dreamy. Rich and creamy and vegan, they are utterly gorgeous.
My kids found the packaging of this range hilarious and they were in stitches laughing about the naked people on the box. 🙂 You can find the range in Waitrose, Sainsbury’s, Morrisons and other stores.
Haagen-Dazs sent me vouchers to try out their strawberry cheesecake flavour of ice cream, but alas two stores were out of stock. I imagine that it’s been popular on Valentine’s day and Mother’s Day. We consoled ourselves with vanilla and cookies and cream. My kids were pretty excited to get ice cream in winter and wrapped themselves up in blankets to tuck in. We’ve had this brand a lot and it is as lovely as ever.
Guylian sent me a box of their Belgian chocolates filled with caramel. In their signature seahorse shape, the soft caramel filling is sweet and decadent, with 100% pure Belgian milk chocolate. My kids loved tucking in to these chocolates, and they’d also be lovely for Mother’s Day. They’re widely available from most supermarkets.
Disclosure: I was sent these items for my February product reviews and all opinions are my own.
